#MoreOnionsPorfavor: Onionize your website and take back the internet

by ggus | July 8, 2020

Starting today, July 8th, the Tor Project is running a one month campaign called #MoreOnionsPorfavor to raise awareness about onion sites, that is, websites available over onion services. We recently released a feature called Onion-Location in Tor Browser that announces to users if a website has an onion site available. Join us to make a more secure web! To participate, enable Onion-Location, share your onion site using the hashtag #MoreOnionsPorFavor on your favorite social media, and we'll select some onion service operators to receive a Tor swag. See below for all the details.

Reaching People Where They Are

Part of the Tor Project's mission is to further the popular understanding of privacy technologies, and we believe we can achieve it by combining educational efforts with usability efforts. Popular understanding is to not only be aware of such privacy technologies but to also be able to use and control them. With that in mind, we decided to integrate user experience research into our digital security training with a single program called 'User Feedback Program’.

Help Us Translate Our New Support Portal

by ggus | July 31, 2018

We are in the final stages of finalizing our new support portal, just one portal of many new sites to come in our website redesign. In order to finish it, we need to translate it from English into more languages. At the very least, we want to translate it to Farsi, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese, German, Korean, Turkish, Italian, Arabic, French, and Spanish. If you are knowledgeable about another language not listed here, we'd be grateful for your help as well.
