&lt;li&gt;Roger Dingledine will give a Tor talk on Sunday, August 9th at 10am, entitled "Shepherding the Tor network" examining the lessons learned from operating the network for close to 25 years: from relays to directory authorities --
focusing on the community angle, on finding and kicking out bad relays, and generally looking at the safety of users and of relay operators.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;From defending resistance networks under political duress to scaling cryptography as civic infrastructure, the summit explores how open protocols and privacy tools become a resilient, shared foundation for digital autonomy, free assembly, and accountability.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pawel Zoneff, Director, Strategic Comms, the Tor Project will host a workshop on Press Freedom, Privacy &amp;amp; Digital Rights. 
The session is designed to open a collaborative dialogue between media professionals and open-source technologists. Participants will share insights from their lived experience of newsrooms, explore barriers to adoption, and discuss how these challenges inform future tool design and usability improvements. 
The session also investigates how media, platforms, and FOSS communities can work together to address the growing narrative war. This session is designed to be accessible to all, regardless of technical background.&lt;/p&gt;
