Tor Community Day 2024/ Dia da Comunidade do Tor de 2024

  • The Tor Community Day is free and open to the public. Anyone who wishes to join is welcome without any prior need to sign up. If you're curious about Tor, stop by!

  • This is a bilingual event: The first half of the event will be in English, the second half in Portuguese.
  • We'll have talks from the Tor Project and from members of the community in Portugal.

Real World Crypto Symposium

Righeal World Crypto Symposium aims to bring together cryptography researchers with developers implementing cryptography in real-world systems. The conference goal is to strengthen the dialogue between these two communities. Topics covered focus on uses of cryptography in real-world environments such as the Internet, the cloud, and embedded devices.

The programme consists of invited and contributed talks. Members of the Tor community will be in attendance.

HACS Workshop

As a yearly event, we’ve been bringing the world’s best cryptographic developers (from open source and industry) together with top experts in formal verification and high assurance methodologies. The goal is to foster collaborations towards making cryptographic software flawless.

HACS 2024 will be in Toronto, March 21–22 plus an optional "hack day" the 23th. HACS is an invite-only event, but for 2024 we accepted self-nominations via applications over here.

Book launch hosted by Wikimedia Germany: "The Battle for the Internet" by Stefan Mey

Wikimedia Deutschland would like to cordially invite the Tor community to attend a panel discussion with Stefan Meyer, author of "The Battle for the Internet” to talk about how we can make the internet more democratic, what opportunities it offers for the participation of civil society and how we can strengthen non-commercial projects.

Panelists include Konstantin von Notz (MdB, Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen), Katharina Nocun (Civil rights activist and publisher), moderated by Tobias Schmid (IT- & Communications Researcher)
