The session is designed to open a collaborative dialogue between media professionals and open-source technologists. Participants will share insights from their lived experience of newsrooms, explore barriers to adoption, and discuss how these challenges inform future tool design and usability improvements. The session also investigates how media, platforms, and FOSS communities can work together to address the growing narrative war. This session is designed to be accessible to all, regardless of technical background.

BornHack is a 7 day outdoor tent camp where hackers, makers and people with an interest in technology or security come together to celebrate technology, socialise, learn and have fun. The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was established by the United Nations in 2005 as a forum for multi-stakeholder dialogue concerning public policy issues relating to the internet, involving such stakeholders as governments, the private sector, the technical and academic communities, and members of civil society. Its annual meeting brings together stakeholders from across the globe for about a week each year. The first day is devoted to a high-level meeting between ministerial representatives from various countries and the leaders of global companies.
